Spinners Heating Up Lowell, MA - Scooter Jordan broke out of his slump to lead the Spinners to their second win in as many nights, as Lowell
topped Williamsport 5-3 and won the season series between the two clubs. After hitting .176 over the previous five games, Jordan earned Jay Gee's Player of the Game honors with a 3 for 5
performance. Jordan hit his third triple of the season, had an RBI, and scored a run. Shortstop Zach Borowiak was 2 for 5 with
a stolen base, and Jeremy West was 2 for 2 to continue his hot play. Chris Farley (1-3) notched his first win of the season for the Spinners (34-29). Farley pitched a scoreless sixth
and seventh innings while striking out one Williamsport batter. Brian Marshall has emerged as a dominant closer, picking up a save for the second
consecutive night. Marshall has five saves in ten appearances this season. He worked a perfect ninth and struck out the side to finish off the
Crosscutters (39-26). Lowell will take on Oneonta tonight in the first game of a three game set. The Spinners entered the weekend five
and a half games behind the Tigers for the Stedler Division lead. Arthur Santos (2-3) will take on Oneonta tomorrow night at LeLacheur Park.
