Jaxx pound Mudcats

Sean Marshall got his first Double A victory as the Diamond Jaxx rolled past the Carolina Mudcats, 15-6, Thursday night at Pringles Park.

Marshall gave up three runs in five inning for the Jaxx. Evan Fahrner, Jordan Gerk, Scott Chiasson and Jermaine Van Buren helped close the game out of the bullpen

The Jaxx had 15 hits in the game, including a two-hit, five-RBI performance by first baseman Micah Hoffpauir. Richard Lewis and Aron Weston had three hits each for the Jaxx.

It was the Jaxx's 13 victory in the past 14 games at Pringles Park.

The Jaxx play the Mudcats at 6:35 p.m. today at home. The first 1,000 fans will receive Kerry Wood bobbleheads.
