Jaxx split doubleheader with
Birmingham

Dwaine Bacon went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI as the Diamond Jaxx
won game two of a doubleheader against Birmingham, 13-6, Tuesday night.
Micah Hoffpauir added three RBI in the second game and had total of four for
the night.
Ronny Cedeno's three-run homer in the fifth inning of game one gave the Jaxx
a 4-3 lead before the Barons rallied.
Carmen Pignatiello struck out six and walked one in the first game. But he
gave up the first three runs. Russ Rohlicek couldn't hold on to a 4-3 lead,
giving up two runs in the eighth to earn the loss. In game two, Evan Fahrner
struck out three in the ninth to give Sean Marshall the win.
The two teams play another doubleheader at 5 p.m. today. Bobby Brownlie (5-3;
2.83 ERA) takes the mound for the Jaxx against Eduardo Villacis (0-0; 9.00 ERA).
