Lugnuts fall

DAVENPORT, Iowa - The Lansing Lugnuts' struggles in extra-inning games
continued on Wednesday.
Denard Span singled in Justin Arneson on an 0-2 pitch for the game-winning
run in the bottom of the 12th inning as the Swing of the Quad Cities defeated
the Lugnuts 3-2.
Lansing (14-12) fell to 0-5 in extra-inning games this season.
C.J. Medlin drove in a run and scored one for Lansing. Chris Walker had an
RBI groundout.
Lugnut third baseman Alfredo Francisco snapped an 0-for-29 slump with two
hits. Robinson Chirinos scored a run and stole a base.
Reid Willett (0-2) suffered the loss for Lansing.
Starter Sean Marshall pitched seven
innings, allowing two runs on five hits. He struck out seven.
Juan Mateo pitched three innings of scoreless relief for the Lugnuts.
