Huntsville Takes Over
First Place

The Huntsville Stars took over first place in the Northern Division with a 5-3
win over the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx before a crowd of 6,735 fans at Pringles
Park. The crowd was the second largest to ever attend a regular or post-season
game in the teams eight year history at Pringles Park.
Dana Eveland picked up his ninth win of the season by throwing six strong
innings in the Stars win. Eveland (9-4) gave up two runs (one earned) on five
hits with two walks and nine strikeouts. Mitch Stetter pitched the final 1 2/3
innings to nail down his 8th save of the season. Brandon Gemoll had two hits and
two RBI's to lead the Stars attack. Ben Van Iderstine and Kennard Bibbs had two
hits each to contribute to the Stars nine hit attack.
Sean Marshall was saddled with the loss for the Diamond Jaxx. Marshall (0-1)
gave up three runs on four hits in six innings of work. Dwaine Bacon, Matt
Murton, Brandon Sing and Jose Reyes had two hits each to lead the Diamond Jaxx
ten hit attack.
The Diamond Jaxx open up an eight game road-trip on Monday night at 6:15 CDT as
they take on the Tennessee Smokies from Smokies Park in Sevierville. RHP Ricky
Nolasco (7-0 2.89) takes the mound for the Diamond Jaxx. Tennessee will counter
with righty Enrique Gonzalez (8-4 3.78).
