Lugnuts split doubleheader, Marshall promoted

For the third time this season, the Lugnuts played a doubleheader on Thursday. And for the second time, they split a doubleheader, losing by a 5-3 score in the opener and then posting a comeback 4-2 win the nightcap to earn the split. After the game, Lansing's starting rotation took a hit with the very deserving promotion of lefty Sean Marshall to AA West Tennessee. Lansing will go for the series victory on Friday in Burlington at 8:00 p.m. EST as Carlos Marmol(3-0, 1.83) goes for Lansing.
