Boston Red Sox 2003 Mid-Season Top 40 Prospects
32.
Brian Marshall,
Virginia Commonwealth Univ., P, L/L, 6'5, 185, 8-30-82, TBD
-A relief pitcher in college,
Marshall was the Sox’ fifth round draft pick this year. He has good control
and strikes out a lot of batters. Marshall can also use multiple arm angles to
confuse hitters. If he can avoid the fate of many college and minor league
relief pitchers, Marshall will be able to log quality innings in the majors.
