Sarasota Red Sox -- by Hope-Valarie Pashos
Friday was a lucky thirteen for the Sarasota Red Sox. They avenged Thursday’s
pounding with a 13 to 1 thumping of the Tampa Yankees.
Stefan
Bailie was hot early, driving in two of the first three runs with a double.
Jeremy
West keeps his solid offense alive, knocking in
Hanley
Ramirez, who showed why he is such a hot prospect by belting a grand slam in
the contest. His grand slam scored
Patrick
Boran, Chirs Durbin and
Alberto
Concepcion, Jr.
Juan
Cedeno picks up the win after a very strong 6 inning performance. He gave up
only four hits and one run, displaying his enormous potential.
Brian
Marshall, Ryan Larson and
Robert
Cochran came in and closed down the Tampa offense and surrendered just one
walk.
