08/20/05 - Thanks to Nelson and Carol. Official Scoring
for Saves SAVES FOR RELIEF PITCHERS
10.20
Credit a pitcher with a save when he meets all three of the following
conditions: (1) He is the finishing pitcher in a game won by his club; and
(2) He is not the winning pitcher; and (3) He qualifies under one of the
following conditions: (a) He enters the game with a lead of no more than
three runs and pitches for at least one inning; or (b) He enters the game,
regardless of the count, with the potential tying run either on base, or at
bat, or on deck (that is, the potential tying run is either already on base
or is one of the first two batsmen he faces); or (c) He pitches effectively
for at least three innings. No more than one save may be credited in each
game.
08/19/05 - Brian got his first save with the Bombers last night. He
went three strong innings, allowing only one run. Although I am glad
Brian picked up the save, I would like to know how the scoring works.
I didn't think a 14 run lead would qualify one for a save. Anyway,
sorry for the semi-negative comment Brian. Congratulations on the
save. Click here for Brian's

stats, box score

08/16/05 - Brian had his 5th outing with the Bombers last night. A

arm.
07/23/05 - Well, I don't want to throw a jinx in, but after last nights
performance, I think the Sox should be moving Brian up. He picked up
his second win of the season last night, also the second in as many tries.
The topper was the foe, having been born and raised a Red Sox fan you are
taught to hate the Yankees, even the baby bombers. Three strong
innings and a win. Click here for Brian's

07/22/05 - My humblest apologies. Brian picked up his first win on
